“ Food was great. Loved atmosphere. We always take family & friends when they are visiting. ”
“ One of the most interesting places we've ever been to...one of the most delicious to! A restaurant that includes seating in a Treehouse atmosphere..how crazy is that? It'd be worth the trip for that fact alone but the food...omg. The service from Allison was also first rate...keeping us informed on the specials and getting our orders out at just the right time. For starters the Escargot was fantastic, right up there with Chris's (R.I.P.) from Scully's. The Mahi Stack was up there with the best Mahi-mahi I've ever had...a nice portioned blackened fish, served over a Yukon Potato Cake and Miso Glazed Lime Glazed Edamame. The Asiago Crusted Chicken was a baked and served with cheese mashed potatoes and citrus beurre blanc...very good. We don't usually order dessert but figured that if the meals were that good the desserts would be phenomenal as well. The Cookie Butter Cheesecake / Ice Cream Brownie topped off the NIGHT and were delicious. ”
“ We've been here twice and this restaurant is fantastic. We have tried the bacon wrapped scallops and zucchini bread, and both are our go-to's. For entrees, we have tried the mediterranean style Scottish salmon, parisian gnocchi, seafood pot pie, and captain's platter. The mediterranean salmon was heavy on roasted tomatoes, and the gnocchi and very filling. Everything was cooked to perfection. They also have complimentary hush puppies with each entree. While the prices are on the higher end, they are reasonable for the quality. We recommend making reservations as it does get very busy during peak hours. We love coming to this restaurant for special occasions! ”
“ Having dinner on the upper outdoor gazebo area was fantastic. The area was relaxing and relatively quiet with great lighting. The food was delicious... If you're a fan of french onion soup the French onion Au Gratin was 10/10. The blackened chicken mac and cheese was also very good! Shout out to the server I had- (Justin) Helpful recommendations, and efficient service always compliments a thoughtfully designed restaurant. The inside looked absolutely beautiful... though having dinner outside in a treehouse was a spectacular experience. ”
“ Sat at the bar and enjoyed the company and the music. Had a few appetizers which were great. It was fun being up in the treehouse. Bar service was very good and wine list is equally great. ”
“ Great place. Large Dining space indoors on main level Dining and bar upstairs in the tree house. The tree house is most definitely a VIBE. So beautiful and unique. Makes for a very special experience. Service is exceptional Friendly professional knowledgeable. The food is always amazing and drinks are on point. A must visit. Tyler B took cate of our table this last visit. She was so much fun. ”
“ Great waitress. Quick seating. Really nice setting Fritters were a nice surprise, hot and tasty The seafood pasta had 1 shrimp and 1 scallop in it with very little salmon but had plenty of filler fish, however, the fish was not great. They did bring out a skewer of shrimp she could take home to make up for it Most meals were made well and some things came out with hot temperatures, some were barely warm. Waitress took mine back and heated it up, some were too shy to ask. Really wasn't a busy time at 3:00 and looked like lots of staff so it's unfortunate to have to write this. But with prices rising for dining out one should expect even more attention to this type of detail. Will maybe try again. Maybe we caught a bad day or time of day? ”
“ Pros: Love the location. It's right near the beach, so you get that nice beach breeze when you're seated outdoors. The treehouse area itself is really cool. You get a good view of things, you have good foliage around you, and the bar is really nice and there are a few TV's to watch some sports. Service was great. Small town charming, very attentive. The food was surprisingly good. Wasn't expecting a delicious curry sauce or zucchini bread from New Smyrna Beach. Cons: No cons. It was a wonderful visit. Tips: Get that zucchini bread! The butter that comes with it sets it off sooo good. The pot pie was really unique and fun. Very glad we got it. If you're wary of fried seafood platters, this one was better than more. The seafood wasn't over-fried and dry, and the breading was thin and not too oily. Good stuff. ”
“ I came out here for Memorial Day. I was off work, and I wanted a nice seafood lunch with a beach backdrop. Well, I had been hearing about Norwood's since I moved to the area, so I was like, what the heck, let's do it. So we take the pleasant drive out there, park, climb the tree, and get to relaxing. Ambiance is completely unique. You're in a treehouse, peering out onto the street and into the lagoons that the locals call rivers. Service was very friendly. It was pretty dead during our visit, I don't think the Memorial Day hours were communicated to the public very well, so our server was very attentive. We started off with a couple of apps. Coconut Shrimp (Coconut battered served with pineapple-mango sweet chili and coconut curry dipping sauces). Very good! Only six shrimp, beware, but they're tasty and well-fried. But the real draw to this dish is the sauces they give you. They are very flavorful, and will go well with whatever else you order, so save them! Zucchini Bread (House made spiced zucchini bread served warm with whipped local honey cinnamon butter). Very warm, with just a light hint of zucchini, which added a pop of background freshness. It was nice. And the cinnamon butter put the other famous one to shame. The savory bread and the sweet butter was just lovely. Then came the entrees. Seafood Pot Pie (Shrimp, scallops, fresh fish and crab, sautéed in a white wine supreme sauce served with puff pastry). This was very unique! Definitely not a pot pie, but pot pie-esque for sure. Tear into that puff pastry and use all the layers to sop up the yummy, decadent sauce. Very plump and well-cooked shrimp and scallops, too. Highly recommend this. I also got a side of the Yukon Gold Potato Cake. It was a giant boxty, and it was crunchy and soft and buttery and ooey gooey inside. I'm glad I got this. I also got to try the Captain's Platter (Mahi, shrimp, scallops, and a petite crab cake, lightly fried). Thick filet of mahi, probably the best fried scallops I've ever had, and a crab cake that was mostly crab. They weren't wrong. It was only lightly fried, and not very greasy. One of the best fried seafood platters I've had in years. Definitely better than any I've had in Orlando. Overall, this place isn't just a treehouse gimmick. The seafood is quality, and the cooking techniques are quality, and that zucchini bread oh my goodness. Please, come here. ”
“ What an absolutely amazing place! Literally a treehouse! Ample parking, easy to find. Walk in and you're greeted like a long lost friend. I asked if they truly had celiac items and the lady that greeted us said 100% they have some of the best around... She was so true Either take a short walk upstairs or the handy elevator, to a seat yourself atmosphere with beautiful breezes, and enough fans that you don't worry about the heat. We were lucky to have Brianna as our server. It's as if she could read our minds the iced tea flowed, and she was absolutely amazing. We shared a small salad, which is huge, with fresh made vinaigrette for one and fresh made blue cheese dressing for the other - both out of this world. We shared side of grits they have a secret ingredient, I don't know if it's magic or love maybe both? Some of the best grits we've ever had! Disappointment, they do not offer fried gluten-free shrimp - however their grilled shrimp is hands-down. some of the best I may have ever had in my entire life! Brianna took care of us, the amazing manager/owner/human being? Nick also helped out and we made sure to brag to him about how amazing things were. We opted out of dessert, but they have delicious creme de la pot gluten-free, next time we will have to try that. We drove about three hours to get here well worth every single minute! I truly cannot recommend this enough from the atmosphere, to the food, to the service, hands-down amazing! And just for checking in, we received a free iced tea! ”
